It All Begins with an Idea.
Yep, that’s him…Dooley. My 6’1” Irish leprechaun firefighter! We met in a small Illinois town where he and a few of his buddies were starting a paramedic team. And by several of those strange intertwining paths of destiny I was a nurse, an Emergency Medical Technician, and on the certifying team. We became friends through our love of trauma, medicine, and helping people. We fell in love somewhere in between the blood and the books. We were together for 37 years, but it’s never enough. Curt was sick for 19 of those precious years and even though I wanted to grow old with him, I would not wish him back.
I am writing a book entitled Homegevity about Curt and those 19 years to continue in helping others. “They” tell me I need followers to publish my book. I have been doing my homework because I want the book to be a success, but I am not sure why you should follow me! For crimeny sakes, I am just a retired nurse. But we had the work ethic to “do your best” and so I will try to give you whatever I have as a nurse, teacher, and one of life’s rough riders. So I guess all of this is my fault, as I need you! Please “follow” me/subscribe and I hope to give you some goodies in return (sorry, I already ate the chocolate!). I promise not to sell your information and you can “unfollow” me/unsubscribe at any time.
Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.
